I have to agree, it was a real page turner. Definitely my best fiction read in a long while.

No, if you read the book, he already pre-screwed it for hollywood.

hee.. not a terrible book, I enjoyed it. But it practially written as a hollywood
script. Making a movie out of will be very easy.

..And the pope's gonna hate it.

well, i'm a combination conspiracy theorist and sceptic and I really liked some of the great tips and ideas in there...I mean i've seen the last supper enough times and yet....who is that lady next to jesus? she sure doesn't look like a 'whore', she's wearing the same outfit as jesus himself.....and that V shape in the composition is really quite striking........I looked t up in the library in this BIG BOOK about ol leos life, and sure enough, not a peep about the mystery lady. But of course lots of details about the betrayer.....goes to show where the priorities are at....fuck that whole male patriarchy crap, priests, whatever.....If they dont know who there mamma is then they deserve whatever they get!

i heard that scholars in the field blasted dan brown for lifting huge chunks of his plots from other lesser known books on the subject of mary magladene

      I enjoyed it greatly though...

without a doubt, he definitely made a pop version of it all with samples from this and that....a bit like the matrix films....lil bit of 'ghost in the shell' anime and some juicy content from some gnostic texts and voila! super hip pop media!

i thought it was a fun ride. a very fast read. the subject matter is fantastic, but as a novel, i had a few complaints. besides the writing being simple, i found the characters to be less dimensional than they could have been. also, for someone who is supporting the goddess, i find it strange that i knew her body type, but not his. [some] men are compelled to describe a womans body, because they see it. my final complaint[although i really DID enjoy the book], is if brown is spending so much effort in revealing the accuracy of history based on gender, why were the historical figures still caucasian? too much to take on in one book?
